So, you have to look on the box of capsules to see approximately how much water is required. Generally, though, I just eyeball it. I like a milder coffee so I use more water. The Keurig is different in that it stops the water flow based on what kind of coffee you put in. so that's the main difference. The Nescafe coffees are very good. There is only one drawback, and that is that there are way more varieties overseas than in stores here in Canada. This is a problem Nescafe has to fix quickly. Otherwise, you'll be satisfied with the choices currently available as they are high quality. You will love using this machine. It's easy and foolproof, and it looks amazing. If you do those sides of cups and follow the instructions, the coffee is AMAZING. I have to say the first drink I tried was a cappuccino. It was much better than I get from Star Bucks, and almost as good as the one I make with our expresso machine. The difference is with clean-up time I easily spend 30 minutes to make a couple of cappuccinos with the expresso machine. The gusto completed cappuccinos in minutes. The only think to clean-up is a quick rinse at the end of the day...If you try to fill a 16 oz cup with a capsule designed for eight ounces, you'll have cold and weak coffee. The solution of course to avoid cold coffee, is to stop after filling 8 oz (250 ml) and wait for the green light before continuing. If you want a large strong cup of coffee, you'll have to use more than one capsule. If you like your coffee with lots of milk, then you need to use the milk capsules, otherwise the milk will cool down the coffee... When I watched the woman demonstrating it (on TSC) I did not realize that it did not shut off automatically once the correct amount of water for that particular coffee went through. Can someone tell me is there a guide for each coffee to know how long to run before shutting off the water.Another complaint I have is it is not hot enough. If I keep this machine I will have to microwave the coffee. (I just tried the Keurig --- what a piece of crap...its going back real quick). |
