We bought the cool mist humidifier for our bedroom so we wouldn't wake up with dry sinuses every morning. This humidifier quietly and quickly dispenses a considerable quantity of moisture into the air. It has an adjustable vaporization rate. The tank is easy to fill, no mess, no fuss and holds at least 4 litres of water. It is attractive so you don't mind it sitting on the furniture. It has made a great difference to our sleeping, and waking up refreshed. We also bought the filter and use filtered water. After a month there is no sign of calcification or mineral build up. The room got too hot because of the hot mist; 2. The room did not get enough humidity; 3. The humidifier was a chore to clean, and the water quickly got full of mold. I am using the Crane in a small bedroom, and have placed it on a bookshelf to avoid having too much humidity concentrated on the hardwood floor. Findings: - The Crane does not impact the temperature in the room. - It puts out enough humidity to get up to desired amounts of humidity (45% - 50%). - It is simple to clean, once a week, with vinegar and water, and it is not very dirty when I do clean it (I don't see mold, I just see brown sediment, which looks like Iron). We liked that it was quiet and could be easily adjusted to control the level of mist and ended up buying a second one months later for our own room. It's a no-frills, one-trick pony that does what it's designed to do - humidify a room. It is much easier to clean than a previous small room humidifier we owned. |
